Scooby was an absolutely superb and perfect black colt with two white hinds and "pretty perfect" in every way born on 4/29/04. His temperament was outstanding and from the start, he seemed to be destined a stallion prospect. As his owner/breeder said, "he has dressage written all over him and he has that 'oh so special' presence that we all dream about and wish for in our boys."

This beautiful "Happy" baby met with a most untimely and tragic death due to an accident, and despite every effort to save him by those who loved and cared for him, they could not. "He was a spectacular baby who would have been a 'lap puppy' if you'd let him." Scooby was soon to journey to his new home in California for his future as a stallion prospect. He was "surrounded by people that cared, and he was the 'star' of the barn, loved by all"...

Our hearts go out to Scooby and his owner/breeder, Gina Crandall of Abbottsford, BC, and we know how special he was to her and others around him. While there are no words to adequately express the sadness and sorrow we feel, we can only hope the fond memories and love for Scooby will help to heal the hearts of all of those who loved him.

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies who has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for
all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is
plenty of food and water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and
vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong
again. Just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times
gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small
thing; each one misses someone very special who had been left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are
intent. His eager body begins to quiver. All at once he begins to
run from the group flying over the green grass, his legs carrying
him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally
meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the
beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your
pet so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together..........
