In the ongoing effort to provide the highest level of service, several breeding options are available for the convenience of mare owners. Included with each shipment of fresh chilled semen are two large bags of semen and a detailed semen analysis, shipped in an Equitaner with two cans of refrigerant. An open line of communication is maintained with Mare Owners and their attending veterinarians to ensure a smooth, successful and pleasant breeding experience. Happy Hour's fresh chilled and frozen semen quality and conception rates have consistently been excellent, receiving the highest praise from attending veterinarians - and with most mares conceiving on the very first cycle - even on a half dose of frozen semen.

Option 1 - This option is for frozen semen breeding (available for viable mare candidates) and carries a Live Foal Guarantee. In the event your mare does not produce a live foal that stands and nurses after the first breeding season, your mare may be entitled to return breeding privileges for the next breeding season. A second mare may be substituted with advance written permission. If the same mare is rebred or a new mare substituted, a Booking Fee of $200.00 is required. Mare Owner pays all processing and round-trip shipping fees for transported frozen semen. The first processing fee for frozen semen (shipped directly from us) is included in the Breeding Fee. Shipments sent directly from Select Breeders incur additional cost to Mare Owner.

(Booking Fee NOT required for initial contract)

Option 2 - FOR SELECT MARES. PLEASE CONTACT.. This option is for fresh, chilled/transported semen and also carries a Live Foal Guarantee. In the event your mare does not produce a live foal that stands and nurses after the first breeding season, your mare may be entitled to return breeding privileges for the next breeding season. A second mare may be substituted with advance, written permission. If a new mare is substituted, a new Booking Fee of $300.00 is required. If it is necessary to rebreed in a 3rd (and final) breeding season for either the same/original or approved substitute mare, a new Booking Fee of $300.00 will be due. Mare Owner pays collection and round-trip shipping fees for transported chilled semen.

Breeding Fee for Option #2 - $1,500.00
(INCLUDES Booking Fee of $300.00, payable in advance)

Option 3 - Frozen semen is available at a per-shipment cost of $700.00 (one (1) shipment equals eight (8) straws and includes thawing instructions). Purchase of frozen semen as described in this paragraph WILL NOT include a Live Foal Guarantee. More and more breeding with frozen semen is being performed each year. DONATED BREEDING (DISCLAIMER): Please be aware the breeding contract for a donated breeding differs from the contracts used for the above-described Breeding Options #1 - #3. It is a Mare Owner's responsibility to advise IN ADVANCE, of their intent to bid via one of the stallion donation auctions in which he may participate from time-to-time, so the appropriate donated breeding contract may be provided for your review - before you bid. Frozen semen is used for all donated breedings unless otherwise stipulated. Fresh, chilled/transported semen may be considered for a donated breeding at our sole discretion; however, additional costs will be incurred by Mare Owner. We are not responsible or liable in any way if a Mare Owner has not made the intent clear that he/she intends to bid on our donated breeding in advance. Thank You.

  For all exported semen shipments from the U.S., it is the full and sole responsibility of Mare Owner/Purchaser to pay for any and all Customs Fees, Duty/Taxes, and any other applicable fees in connection with exporting equine semen. We will not be held responsible or liable in any way for the payment of any exportation and related fees.

• Stallion Booking Fee: $200.00 for Option 1 (2nd year), payable in advance.

• Stallion Booking Fee: $300.00 for Option 2, payable in advance.

• Stallion Breeding Fee (Option 1) : $1,200.00, payable in advance of first semen shipment.

• Stallion Breeding Fee (Option 3) : $700.00, payable in advance of first semen shipment.

• Collection/Shipping Deposit: For both fresh and frozen semen contracts, a current/valid credit card number may be placed on file in advance prior to shipment of semen. All fees, including the stallion collection fee(s), round-trip shipping fee(s), container replacement, etc., will be applied to the credit card. In the event the Equitaner or dry/vapor shipper is not returned within three (3) days of receipt, a fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) will be incurred for each additional day. Damage and/or replacement cost of the container will be applied to the credit card as the first option. Credit card purchases must be approved and credited a minimum of five (5) days prior to anticipated shipping.
  
  If the use of a credit card is not possible, a check/cash/money order may be paid prior to the anticipated semen collection (must be received a minimum of seven (7) days prior to anticipated shipping). All collection, semen shipping fees, container damage/replacement, etc., will be deducted from the deposit. Additional deposit monies may be required if the balance of the deposit is inadequate to cover expenses and/or container cost. Any remaining deposit funds are returned to the Mare Owner along with an itemized statement of expenses at the end of the breeding season and upon our receipt of required breeding forms, as applicable.
  
  Collection/Shipping Deposit if paid via check is $800.00, payable along with balance of the applicable Breeding Fee prior to any shipments of semen.

• Chilled Semen Collection Fee: $250.00 per collection

• Frozen Semen Processing Fee: $100.00 per shipment (when shipped directly
  from farm)

• CD/DVD Fee: No charge.
• Breeding Season Dates: Typically, breeding season begins around March 15 and ends by mid-late July
• Chilled Semen Collection Days: Monday through Friday
